How to Point Your Domain to VedHost (Nameservers)

If you registered your domain elsewhere, you need to point it to VedHost by updating its nameservers. This tells the internet that your website and email now live on our servers.

  1. 1

    Find your VedHost nameservers

They are in your VedHost welcome email and in your client area under Services → your hosting plan. There are usually two (for example, ns1.… and ns2.…).

  2. 2

Log in to your domain registrar

Go to wherever you bought the domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.) and open the domain's management/DNS page.

  3. 3

    Open the nameserver settings

Look for "Nameservers", "DNS", or "Manage DNS" and choose the option to use custom nameservers.

  4. 4

    Replace with VedHost nameservers

Delete the existing nameservers and enter the two VedHost nameservers exactly as shown in your welcome email. Save.

  5. 5

    Wait for propagation

DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes up to 24–48 hours to take effect worldwide. You can check progress with our free DNS Lookup tool.

Tip: Registered your domain WITH VedHost? Then it already points to us — no change needed.
