How to Create a Subdomain in cPanel
Subdomains let you run separate sections or sites under your main domain — like blog.yourdomain.com or store.yourdomain.com.
-
1
Open Subdomains in cPanel
Log in to cPanel and click Subdomains under "Domains".
-
2
Enter the subdomain
Type the prefix (e.g. blog) and pick your domain. cPanel fills the document root automatically.
-
3
Create it
Click Create. The subdomain is live within moments.
-
4
Add your content
Upload files to the subdomain's folder, or install an app (like WordPress) onto the subdomain.
Tip: Subdomains get free SSL too — run AutoSSL if the padlock doesn't appear right away.
