How VedHost collects, uses, and protects your information.
VedHost ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
01 What we collect
- Account and billing. Name, email, postal address, phone, and payment details processed by our payment gateway. We do not store full card numbers.
- Service data. Domain registration details (subject to ICANN WHOIS), support tickets, and basic usage logs needed to operate your hosting account.
- Site analytics. IP, browser, and pages visited, used to keep the site secure and improve it.
02 How we use it
To provide and bill your services, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and send essential service notices. We do not sell your personal data.
03 Sharing
We share data only with providers needed to deliver our service (payment processors, domain registrars, SSL providers, and infrastructure vendors) under appropriate confidentiality terms, and with authorities where required by law.
04 Retention
We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and for the period required by tax and regulatory law after closure. Support tickets and logs are retained for a limited period for security and audit purposes.
05 Your rights
You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data by emailing support@vedhost.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to legal retention obligations.
06 Your GDPR rights (EU / UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Our lawful bases for processing are contract performance (to deliver your services), legal obligation (tax and compliance), and legitimate interests (security and fraud prevention). To exercise any right, email support@vedhost.com; you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
07 Your CCPA rights (California)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to request deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of any "sale" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. 08 Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Strictly necessary — login sessions, shopping-cart state, security and CSRF protection. These are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off.
- Analytics — aggregate usage statistics that help us improve the site.
When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can also disable cookies in your browser, but some features (like checkout) will stop working. You can re-open your choice at any time from the banner.
09 Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
